Obsidian is generally perceived as an intensely colored homogeneous dark black rock, so much that it’s not uncommon to find, on commercial catalogues of industrial products, references to “obsidian black”.
Following the oxidation process of some minerals however, obsidian can assume several bright colorations, often in green, red and brown.
The minerals present in the glassy fluid are so abundant that there is a type of obsidian denominated “rainbow”, for its numerous graduation of different colors that it shines back, when adequately illuminated.

The company and its products
Over 30 years ago, at the base of Monte Arci, a small cured meat factory was born, and decided to pursue the making of the authentic flavors of traditional recipes handed down by generations of master sausage makers.
